A friend and I need to get from Paris to LaRochelle with lots of luggage. I don't think the train will work. Any other ideas? Is there a shuttle of some sort from CDG to LaRochelle? We don't want to drive ourselves. Thanks
Hi ;-)) I'm afraid that to rent a car or even a van will be the onliest option. Ot take train and arrange a lift for your luggage with a compagny like Sernam for example. Max ;-)

It is about 300 miles from Paris to La Rochelle. A 'shuttle' is out of the question. There are no long distance bus (motorcoach) services so it is either drive yourself, take the train or hire a van with driver. Driving will take between 5 and 6 hours, direct trains average 3 hours. SNCF (French Railways) does offer a baggage transfer service, but there is no guarantee that your bags will travel on the same train as you do. You can fly from Paris Orly to La Rochelle with Airlinair but with 'lots of luggage' that might not be practicable and would certainly be expensive.
