Hi All, Travelling to Cyprus end Sept. Can somebody recommend a car hire company at Larnaca Airport who have no problem with their cars being in the North and South. Thanking you Irish26
There are no rental companies that operate both in the north and the south. You CANNOT take a NC-registered rental car to the south. In theory it should be possible to go from the south to the north, but in practice the Greek-Cypriot side will often not allow you do to so. If you're in the south and want to go on a day trip to the north, the easiest way is to go to the Ledra Palace pedestrian crossing and rent a car for a day on the other side.

Do not take a Greek taxis as they will charge you the earth £100 plus each way. Organise your car hire through a company in the North and ask them to arrange airport tranfers £80 round trip. the company we used delivered our car to our villa the next day. Ford Focus £17 a day including vat / CDW comapany is Bird rent a car www.Birdrentacar.com do not eat in the harbour of Kyrenia as the price is very high and the toilets stink. Enjoy
