Nightspots, Events and Clubs in Kyoto

I know this might be a redundant question and there are websites for looking up clubs and entertainment, but I would like to hear from the locals or people on the ground. So, what is currently 'happening' in Kyoto right now? Or in general the Osaka- Kansai region? Any recommended clubs and nice bars for the ladies to check out? And suggestions for a good night out? What areas or places whould we check out for nightclubbing or drinks? Also what concerts or cultural events might be playing out in Kyoto? I have only 3 days in Kyoto so would like to make the most of it. Thanks xxx
