      Where is "The Villa"?

by volarevolare Online Now Mar 25, 2006 at 12:09 AM

Hi all, my friend was telling me about this establishment known as "The Villa" that's supposed to be in Kuta. However, I've searched for it to no avail. Does anyone know where it is and perhaps can direct me to a website? :) Or, has it changed its name to something else? Thanks all! Have a great weekend! Ciao, Francesca

Hi everyone, I'm planning a trip to Bali in April. Found Taman Ayu Cottage on the internet. The hotel looks very nice based on the pictures I found on their own web site. The prices are good too. Has anybody stayed at Taman Ayu Cottage in Seminyak? Any feedback on their room quality and service? Thank you very much!

      Bakungsari hotel

by redhotwax Online Now Feb 8, 2006 at 5:00 AM

Hi there! Will be in Kuta this summer, and I can't quite make up my mind, hope someone can help me. Last summer I stayed in Wina hotel, which was excellent price/value. They increased their prices, a bit, but as we're on a pretty tight budget this year, we're considering going to Bakungsari hotel. It's about 5 euros cheaper a night, but I'm wondering if it's a big bother getting to Kuta beach from this hotel, and how the previous experiences in the hotel are? Basically, is it worth saving the 5 euros a night, or should I stick to Wina? Thanks!

I'm going to Bali (my 1st trip, in mid June 2004) with my wife on a free-n-easy 4D/3N package tour & my tour agent had booked us at Hotel Kuta Paradiso, saying that its right smack in the middle of Kuta. Anybody know about this hotel... is it good? Any recommendation how best to visit Bali within the 4 day duration? Heard the elephant safari is good, so too is a viosit to Tanah Lot. How about shopping & entertainment? Pls advise

      I am cheap

by bilbostuff Online Now May 5, 2004 at 11:35 PM

Where is the cheapest, yet of course doable place to stay in Kuta? I will be traveling the month of August (yes I know its hot, but live in a desert anyway)..and am looking to bum around kuta for a bit of R and R.. Another question...what the heck... How difficult is surfing...yes I am sure the question is relative, but thought I would ask anyway...why not learn while I am there...:)...Will be in Bali for a month (or wherever the wind blows...it seems that Kuta seems like a pretty neat spot to call by headquarters.:) Thanks in advance folks, John Colclasure... (or of course Bilbostuff) :)

    • Grand Istana Rama and recommended spa.

by samkl Online Now Nov 19, 2003 at 9:04 AM

Hi, Me and my wife will be travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Bali next month. Staying at the Grand Istana Rama (Kuta) and would appreciate if anyone could recommend the things to do around the areas. We are interested in shopping for handicrafts especially in the local markets. Any suggestions? We promise oueselves that we must try the spa experience in Bali. Any recommendation for a spa that is value for money? Is it fair value to offer R150,000 to hire a taxi for a 8 hours including petrol? Being malaysian, we can converse in simple Bahasa so we do not need a english speaking driver although that would be a bonus. Thanks in advance!
