Here's my travel plan:
From Naha airport to hotel in Mihama American Village (stay for 1 night), from Mihama American Village to hotel near Nago bus terminal (stay for 2 nights) and back to Naha (3 nights). May I know if I can travel with my big luggage by public bus? I think taxi will be too costly?
This is my first time visiting Tokyo.
Anyone with suggestions on the 5 nights itinerary?
Would be appreciated! :)
Shopping (for male), sight-seeing perhaps will be top priorities..

Hi i'm visiting Japan in Oct.
I need some advise on how to getting around with Japan transportation for few location :
1. From Osaka to Narita Airport - Which is the station from Osaka airport ? How much is the cost for Train?
2. From Narita Airport to Tokyo central - How much is the bus ride from Narita to T-cat station ? 1,900 yen (Adult) ?
3. From Tokyo Central to Haneda Airport - Where to catch the bus and how much is the cost ?
4. If i want to travel from Tokyo to Mount Fuji, any good recommendation ?
hi..i would like to ask about transportation pass. My schedule will be :
Could you please advise which one is more suitable, is it Kansai Thru pass or Osaka Amazing Pass or Nankai - Kansai Airport edition ( i read that Nankai-Kansai Airport edition includes unlimited rides for 1 day on all Nankai Electric Railway lines within Osaka Prefecture added to the valid area for the Osaka Amazing Pass area edition for 1 day.)
How about for 2nd day as i plan to spend my whole day in universal studio ?
Thank you in advance for your help
My sis and I are planning to travel to Japan next May for 13 days (after GW). This is our first trip so this is our plan:
Day1 (May 8 - Sunday): Arrive late at Haneda (overnight at airport)
Day3 (ACTIVATE JR): early morning to MATSUMOTO? (Eve-head back to Tokyo for Sunrise seto to Himeji)
Day4: Himeji Castle (morning), Kyoto
Day6: Hikone (morning), Kyoto, Osaka (at night)
Day8: Hiroshima + Miyajima
Day9: Early Morning to Matsue >> Eve in Kurashiki (Sunrise Izumo to Tokyo)
Day 11: Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko spend the day by sightseeing (Retro Bus).
Day 12: Fuji Q and head back to Tokyo
Day13: Odaiba >> Hnd (flight back at night)
My questions are:
1) Is my itinerary doable?
2) Not sure where to go for DAY 3 where i can start using my jr pass
3) Will Day9 be possible?
I've heard about Toku Q-pack (Return Bus tickets + Fuji Q Ticket) and was thinking of buying it.
4) Is it cheaper to get this Q-Pack?
5) Does this Q-Pack include both Admission Ticket + Tickets for rides?
6) Can I use this Fuji Q Ticket on my 2nd day there?
7) Will it be packed in May?
Hopefully u guys can help me
Thank you.. =)
Me and my wife will go to Japan on Jan 2016 for 7 day trip. Our trip will start and end in Tokyo (Narita) and we plan not to buy JR Pass (we are on a tight budget).
Our initial plan is to go straight to Kyoto from Tokyo using overnight bus,
Stay in Kyoto for 3 days and explore surrounding area before going back to Tokyo.
- shall we still go to Kyoto? or stick to Kanto area (Tokyo, Nikko, Kawaguchiko)?
- Are there enough time to explore Kyoto and Nara?
is monday october 12 a national holiday?
1)does this affect public transport in Tokyo?
2)are some atractions closed? the East Imperial Gardens will be open? (they are closed on mondays but when monday is holiday they close the next day, right?)
3)I was thinking to start from Hama Rikyu gardens in the morning, then take the train to Tokyo Station and walk to East Imperial Gardens but the rest of the day will be free. any suggestions considering we will cover the following the rest of our days in Tokyo:
Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Dori, Shibuya Crossing, Shinjuku, Tsukiji Fish Market, Hamarikyu Gardens, Akihabara / Ginza, Asakusa, Sensoji temple, Ueno Park
we plan to do a daytrip by JR train from Kyoto to Hiroshima arriving there at 10.00am
1)is it wise to walk to Peace Park or take the tram?
2)how much time the park will take (without a visit to the museum)?
3)is there a tram line near the park for the port (Miyajima-guchi) to catch the ferry to Miyajima? which tram line? what's the ticket cost?
4)should we buy One-day pass from the tourist office (is it at ¥600?) as we may need at least 3 tickets in total for trams? (1 to the park, 1 to the port, 1 back to the station)
5)will it be easier to do the Miyajima first and then the Peace Park? if so which tram lines should we take?
We'll be Japan (flying into Tokyo) for 10 days at the beginning of October. The country is so beautiful I'm overwhelmed with what to do in so little time. Any suggestions would be incredibly appreciated!
We're planning on seeing:
-Tokyo (sega world, great food, would be nice to see some leaves changing colour)
-Yokohama (hot springs, view of mont fuji, zen gardens)
^basically do a loop. We won't be renting a car, we're getting a train pass. I've been told about a high speed train that will take you around the country, but does it go in this loop?
Thanks so much in advance for any ideas!!
heading back to Kyoto from Hiroshima (or Himeji the second day) we may stop in Osaka for 3 hours.
1)which is a convinient JR station to stop? (I've heard there are many stations in Osasa, have in mind we will use JR Pass)
2)any suggested itinerary to follow? is the station a good starting point or do we have to deal with local transportation? (I'd prefer to avoid this)
I'll be going Tokyo, and thinking of going Hakone to view Mt Fuji & Hiroshima (Miyajima). I've been to Kyoto & Osaka last year.
I'm stuck on planning on the transport arrangements..(which is more difficult as I thought compared to Kansai Region), especially Haneda airport to Tokyo town on our arrival. =(
firstly, we will be there for 9D8N, I'm planning to get 7 days JR Pass. how can i get additional 1-2 days JR pass for the additional day usage?
I'm planning to use the JR pass on 3rd day onwards till my return so that we can use the JR Pass on N'EX train as we will be departing from Narita Airport.
If i can't get additional 1-2 days JR pass, what will be the best transport / route from haneda to Shinjuku area? If I purchase ad-hoc monorail ticket from Haneda airport to Shinjuku? We will be renting apartment near shinjuku area. is there any metro / subway we can hop on from Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa station after taking monorail from Haneda airport?
Secondly, in order to see mt. Fuji, understand Hakone will be one of the best options. what will be the best way to get there? Should we stay overnight or it can be day trip?
lastly, visiting Miyajima will be in my plan too.. I know we can make use of JR Pass on shinkansen and even JR ferry.. I'd like to seek advise on accommodation. Is it worth spending a night stay at Hiroshima / Miyajima?
