Kunming Travel Answers

Hekou to Kunming by bus

We will be travelling from Vietnam in April 2010, crossing the border at Hekou. Can anyone tell me what time the "day" bus leaves Hekou and how long the journey takes to reach Kunming. I've read reports that say 14 hours and reports that say 8 hours. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Graham.
