Hello, I am helping a friend with pre production for a video project that will be taking place in Kulusuk in early August. I am wondering if someone can tell me where she might be able to purchase a local cell phone to make local calls with? I imagine one might be available for purchase at a local post office but would love to confirm this and or/hear of other suggestions. Thank you!!
You won't require a cell phone there at all, I think. The entire village is about 300 metres wide and outside the village there's no connection. And the Greenlandic mentality of timelessness is very nice: just visit someone on a fixed moment, like 'afternoon' or 'evening'. There's no need for non-personal contact.
