In 1997, I visited Kuantan with my husband, we stayed at the CLUB MED, we took a taxi to visit around, he took us to a small town presumably Town of Kuantan, I am not so sure, where there was a lot gold jewelry stores, I would like to know if anyone has been there and where is it, I will be spending a week in Kuantan in July 09, and would like to have these information, also anyone knows of vacation Vila renting, we are looking for a villa for a week in Kuantan. Thank you
Club Med is not in Kuantan, it's in Cherating. the closest town to cherating is Kemaman in Terengganu. IF your car ride is about 30KM, it's probably Kuantan, if it wasn't far from Club Med, I think it's Kemaman.

If u wanna stay near beach side and near to shopping centre, u can stay at Kempville Beach Resort. Cherating is quite far away from town
