I will be travelling to KL at the end of March. I have about 2 weeks in Malaysia in total. How many days should I devote to KL? I am not a shopper, but a culture-vulture. I am thinking of staying in a private home in a homestay. What would be a good, and safe area to stay in? I don't plan to go out at night. What would be a reasonable itinerary for my 2 week stay?

Hi. Travelling to Kl in April, have been looking at family accomm ( 2 Aadults 2 children) and finding it difficult to find places that shall accommodate us all comfortably. The main problem is that one of the children is 13 and appears to be classed as an adult when reserving rooms. Other than booking two rooms has any one got any suggestion re hotels ar similar experience. This does not appear to be as big a problem in other parts of Malaysia we are going to. Regards.
Hi all, I'm off to KL in March and was thinking about buying a laptop and tablet while there. My question is - do you think it's worth buying from somewhere like Low Yat Plaza? Is it actually cheaper and will I be buying the real thing? Should I look at other malls perhaps? I will be staying at the Traders hotel so will be central to everything. I will otherwise be buying here in Dubai. Thanks! Natalie

Hi need your help! I am travelling from SG to KL via Jetstar on 01 Dec and on the same day, 2.5 hours from my arrival in KL, I have a flight from KL to Langkawi via Air Asia. My question is, as I know that Langkawi is Intl airport, is it correct that I do not need to come out from airport at KL and go thru KL immigration, instead, I can just pick up my luggage and straight away go to transit / domestic arrival area to catch my flight to Langkawi. When I reach Langkawi, then that's the only time I will have to go thru immigration and get my passport stamped. Is my understanding correct? I only worried that I wil miss my Langkawi flight due to time constraint. Thanks in advance for your reply!
Hi all, I'm currently looking at hotels in KL and would like to know the best area to stay in. At the moment I'm looking at hotels near KLCC (Shangri-la and Traders) but should I be looking somewhere else? I'll be travelling alone and will have 1 day in the city and 1 day doing a day trip outside. I will also want to do a little shopping and eat in a Hawkers market. Any suggestions? Thanks, Nat

Hello members, need your info. End of this month, I will be arriving Malaysia through LCCT from Singapore (1st time). Almost at the same time my other family members will be arriving at KLIA. My questions are: 1. How far from LCCT to KLIA? 2. How can I transfer to KLIA from LCCT? 3. If there is a mode of transport, is it inside the LCCT terminal (as of Changi) or do I have to pass custom and immigration area first? Thanks for any responds.

Hi, I have a transit of one day in Malaysia from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM during December 2012. During this time I am planning to visit Batu caves, Bird park, Petronas towers, KL Tower. I need information to commute to above places by train( there are various trains and routes) 1. From KL sentral to Batu caves - which is the train route and stop and from train station is it walking distance or do I have to take any other bus. 2. From Batu caves to Bird park - which is the train route to Kuala Lumpur station Is it walking distance or do I have to take any other bus from Kuala lumpur station to bird park. 3. Bird Park to Petronas towers and KL tower - From Kuala lumpur station to KL sentral and from KL sentral to KLCC station using Kelang lane . 4. Do we have any touch and go type of passes for one day which can be used for both bus and trains. It would be of great help if you can provide the above information . Any suggestions in the plan are also welcome. Thanks and Regards
Hi everyone, I am looking into a citytrip for a week, possibly in KL. So questions for those who know more about KL properly? Is a week enough/too much to spend in KL? Is there a nice party scene? Wishing you all a great week and thanks in advance
Hey, We are looking to travel to Taman Negara from KL on the sleeper train to Jerantut, and then taking the bus to Kuala Tahan. Spending the day there, and then returning that night to Jerantut to get the sleeper back to KL... this seems to be possible, but I have a few questions and hope you guys can help! Firstly, if we choose to get the bus there from KL (as the sleeper arrives at 3.30am!), it will get us to the jetty for about 9.30am. Will this get us there in time for the boat trip into the park? Once we are in the park, can we just do our own thing or should we/could we join a group? If we decide to take a boat trip upstream, what can we expect to see, and will that leave us enough time to return to get our train back (which leaves at midnight)? Is there anything else we should know? Many thanks in advance for your help and advice
Hi, our flight arrives at 23:35 hrs(saturday) @ LCCT (Air Asia) . We have our booking at hotel in the Bukit Bintang area. However due to the odd arrival time of our flight I'm a bit confused. Firstly, we are staying for 2 full days in KL ( Sunday & Monday) our departure flight is scheduled at 3:00 pm Tuesday. As Petronas twin towers are closed on Monday, so Sunday is the only option open to us. I've read on this forum that you need to queue up from around 7-7:30 am in order to get a ticket for the tour , the day being a Sunday I think its better to start at say 6:00-6:30 am ??? Anyways, I have checked on bus services from LCCT to KL Sentral. Aerobus has their last bus @ 1:30 am arriving at 2:30 am while Skybus has services at 2:15 am arriving at 3:30 am . Now to reach twintowers I assume the best way is LRT "Putra green line" geting down at KLCC. The train service starts from 6:00am considering the first Train arrives at Sentral at 6:20-25 hrs .. which of the following will be the best possible action: 1. we stay back at airport lobby catch the 4:30 am Aerobus arriving at 5:30am @ Sentral then taking the LRT @ 6:20-25 hrs reaching KLCC & queuing up by 7:00am OR 2. We take the 2:15 skybus arriving at 03:30 hrs or 1:30 Aerobus arriving at 02:30 hrs and wait at KL SEntral for the LRT train to arrive. Is it safe @ Sentral at that time of the day?? We also have a fair few baggage to consider notin massive but still decent enuff. Please suggest accordingly. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks & Regards Sreeza
I received an e-mail and not sure what he said in them. Here are the sentences: nkita gbabuo gi na anya e bu onye ara ara gba giiii ofuma
Hi everyone In July 2013 I'll be needing to stay overnight in KL for just one night. As our flight leaves early the next morning I don't want to stay too far from KLIA. Are there any suggestions for a decent hotel near the airport, preferably with airport shuttle included? I'll be travelling with my wife and my 2 young children (5 years and 9 months), so it can't be all too complicated! Many thanks Peter

Questions is, is there a bus that takes us from KLIA (they will have luggages, I'll just have a handcarry) irect ot hotels near Bukit Bintang? If not, if we are to take a bus or KL express to the KL Sentral station, how do we get to our hotels? Are there plenty of taxis at KL Sentral? Also, we will be flying to Kl from Kuching via Malaysia Airlines, then I'll be flying to Amsterdam via KLM on the same day...would anyone know if I can check-in my bag at KCH and claim it at AMS? Thanks guys.
Hi Will be visiting Kuala Lumpur for 2 days (short, I know) in October and have the following questions. 1. Petronas Twin Tower: how much are the tickets? I saw 80ringgit. Is that all the way up or just up to the Skybridge? 2. Is it easy to get to Bangsar (Lucky Garden) by public transit? I would like to visit Ah Mun's dessert cart, in front of Nam Chuan coffee shop. 3. Trying to judge distance from Sahabat Guesthouse to Imbi market (for some food) but google map gives me weird results. Can anyone help? Thank you
