It might be cheaper to just buy a new computer depending on the age. I've found that mine can not be "enhanced" any more but I've not upgraded from Vista and don't intend to until I fully sort out how Win 8 will behave.

Yes I agree. Go to Low Yat and they'll be the most likely to help you. They are no longer cheap but at least you have a big choice of suppliers. 5 or 6 floors of computers/electronics!

I would second Melaka. You can take a bus there from SG and then head off to KL from there. Stay at Hotel Puri in Melaka... more
