Hi, Me and my wife will be visiting kuala lumpur from 21-May to 24-May. I am looking for a nice clean hotel withih the range of RM125 with breakfast, if possible, near bukit bintang or any other suggested area which has easy access to transportation and other amenities. we have the following places in mind to visit during our stay: 1. Twin Towers 2. KLCC Aquaria 3. Berjaya Time Square / Malls for shopping and dining 4. Sunway Lagoon 5. Genting Highland
Bukit Bintang is a good area to stay as it's near the monorail and bus routes. I cannot advise you on a hotel in that range but you should add Batu Caves to your program, wonderful Hindu temple complex. And i will remind you that the Towers only admit a certain number of people each day so to guarantee a tour you must get there before 7am and join the other throngs of visitors waiting in line. Don't make the same mistake as us, turning up at 6.30am on Monday only to find that Mondays the Tower is closed for tours. Jalan Alor (street) at night for eating. See my KL pages for more info.

I suggest, with 4D/3N, you leave out ghastly Genting, unless you are into gambling in a casino (coming from Pakistan, I'm not sure that would be your interest?) coz, otherwise, there is nothing there, as far as I'm concerned! I'd rather go to Fraser's Hill! ;-) Also suggest you look into budget accommodation only on e.g. bookings.com since breakfast is so cheap in MY, Malaysians actually eat a Malaysian breakfast outside of home e.g. in a cafeteria, food court, food stalls, local 'coffee shops' if they are working/even 'go for breakfast' if they are not! I don't venture into the city much (I avoid it at all costs, actually, in view of the traffic) and, so, cannot advise you on specifics. Perhaps, others can? ;-)

I checked also Tuna hotel www.tunehotels.com for to find at that price for those days you have to cross all fingers, also of your feet :) accomodation in KL are not so cheap like somewhere else in Malaysia and you are to close to date to find a bargain.

Along Bukit Bintang there are several guest houses that are much less than 125 RM, don't really know about hotels, i think it would be difficult to find a "Hotel" at that price. My wife and i stayed at Pondok Lodge last year, ok but basic. A double room without bathroom was 65 rm, including b/fast. I did notice a few other guest houses but don't recall the names.

@OP - have you even looked at bookings.com or agoda.com? I've looked at the former sometime ago, for a VT Traavel Forum and did find budget accommodation, including for BB, though they may have been youth hostels, I can't recall.. I did meet some backpackers who stayed in one of them.. @cgf - didn't know Tune hotels are now in KL? That would be a good choice, as is Sri Malaysia for other locations in MY but even they are more than RM125, I suspect? ;-)

Oops! It's booking.com, not bookings.com! Sorry! BTW do take a look at @aliammar's home page - I just wished him happy birthday and saw a hotel recommedation, in Pudu area, though: Citin Hotel - looks nice and clean enuf in the pics! :-) BTW you can also click on 'Hotels' at the top of your VT page, to find hotels within your price range.

Well, @aliammar stayed at the Citin Pudu Hotel and recommended it on his VT page - why not check his comments/ask him? I don't stay in KL hotels since I've got my own place, ya? :-)

hi have you found hotel? I suggest Mayview Glory Hotel. Its where we stayed. They have breakfast but I suggest do not include it so as you can choose foods you prefer. Its just walking distance to a train station which has acccess to the places you want to visit.

thanks elle im already in malaysia and after spending 3 nights in The Nest Guest House im on for langkawai on 24 May :) .... the choice i made was based on tripadvisor's rating for The Nest guest house. stay was very good although the guest house room (standard double ensoute) are small but they are very clean and the staff is also very helping. they have this sleeper policy which is quite funny but i think that such policies have made their guest house so neat and clean. RM99 per night with self service standard breakfast is worth it. send me an email if any 1 is interested in obtaining pics of the guest house that i took during my stay.
