We are visiting Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia from 19th May. We'll be travelling from Singapore. How to cross the boarder; is there any trian or bus; is it required advance booking: How much time is required from Singapore Boarder to Kuala Lumpur?
train from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is slow. better a bus or plane, check AirAsia and other low cost-airline between SIN to KUL to check for fares. how long does it take at border? it could be long if there are lines for buses and airplane, usually at LCCT (low cost terminal of KLIA) it does not take a long time, by train all passanger have to be checked, so it depends how many people are on train.

There is a bus across the border where you will alight for immigration, very straightforward, then with the same ticket you get on the next bus which will take you to the bus station in Johor Bahru. Then you should not have to wait long for a bus to KL. the journey will take 5 hours and cost from 32 ringit and upwards depending on the class of bus.Or you can get a bus direct from Singapore to KL but this costs 32 Singapore dollars which is nearly double.For some reason i dont understand the amount charged is the same figure in each currency.

Hello You can just take a bus to Kuala Lumpur. I used this Bus Company from Singapore to Penang. Get your ticket early, and be on time at the departure time. The bus will take you to the immigration office, wont take a long time and you go find your bus (remember the bus number) and straight you go to Kuala Lumpur. I dont care much how much ticket will cost as long I get to my destination quick and easy. I would second Melaka. You can take a bus there from SG and then head off to KL from there. Stay at Hotel Puri in Melaka... more
Just tell the hotel your flight number and your ETD and that should suffice. more
