Has anyone experienced Pafuri Camp in the Makuleke Reserve? We are considering it for January 2007.
While I haven't stayed at Pafuri, I did stay at Punda Maria, a cheaper alternative just nearby. So while you're going for what I understand is luxury tented camps, I can give a firsthand report on the general area, which I think is the best part of the Kruger Park, it's wild and rugged, along with the Big 5 there's an abundance of birdlife. Thulamela ruins are pretty interesting, proof that gold was being smelted and shaped long before westerners arrived.
