First solo trip to SE Asia advice needed! !

      Cambodia May 14, 2015 at 11:46 AM

Hi! I'm planning on taking my first trip to SE Asia for about 7 weeks (I'm 20, F) and going solo. I was hoping to hit cambodia, vietnam, philippines, and indonesia. I did some research and found great hostels in each place but am unsure about how to even approach the trip (I've gone to Africa solo before but stayed in one place which made it easy). While I want to have the freedom to go wherever whenever i want, Im not exactly comfortable with wandering solo looking for a place to sleep. Does anyone have any opinion on whether or not booking in advance is a good/bad idea, and maybe how long I'd want to spend in each place? Also, any ideas on the best way to travel from country to country?

      Thanks!

We arrive on a cruise at the Sihanoukville Port in Vithei Phe. Is downtown a worthwhile visit as a tourist? Are there sites in the area you would recommend we visit? Also, which beaches do you recommend for beauty and hiking? How far are these beaches from the port and can we walk or take a bus? Thank you!

      Hi,

I would like to find a good place to stay in Sianoukville for me, my husband 2 children 2 and 4 and my mother. We don't like the BIG hotels without any "feeling" so we don't want to stay in a huge hotel. Does anyone know were to stay if you want to have a pool, cleen and safe and fairly small. It's been 10 years since my last visited Cambodja so I don't really know what you have to pay for places like this at the time. Can anyone help us?

      Thanks.

      hi
i am aware that the response to my question is very subjective but collective opinions are always right.

i am seeking information for accommodation for two persons in sihanoukville - it may be in the city centre or the beach. what is important is the cleanliness and security features.

info is required urgently so immediate response will be appreciated.

      regards
