Has anyone had an experience with the above-mentioned hotel ? ... A government-owned hotel, it has been for sale for some time now, but the offers (made among others, by a French chain of hotels) have been resisted for 4 years by the 500-odd hotel staff. I read on the internet some comments about the place ("... workers-turned-beggars inside the hotel"), but I wonder if it is otherwise a QUIET place to stay (appart from the staff complaining maybe, but I hope that they still would welcome the guests !). (I am looking for a budget hotel with soundproof rooms, with thick walls and carpets in the corridor, as I cannot sleep if the TVs of the neighbouring rooms are turned on at full volume or if a family leaves the doors of their 2 rooms open, with incessant traffic and callings)
