I am flying to Osaka in March for a one month visit to Japan. I am leaving by ship from Kobe and would like to store a suitcase with dress clothes in the Osaka/Kobe region that I can retrieve for my trip home. Does the port passenger terminal offer long term baggage storage? Or train station beyond a few days? I don't really care where, I just don't want to haul around a large unneeded suitcase for one month. Thank you
Long term storage is available at the various takyubin (courier) outlets in stations. I recall thinking that I would leave a bag at Narita one time and the cost was something like Y1200/day with made it it too expensive. If you are staying in a hotel, ask the concierge about long term storage options.
