Good morning, we have decided to visit Ko Samui from April 19 to April 23. We are looking for a resort, and can be slightly flexible on budget. We were considering villas either in Anantara or Six Senses resort. Any suggestions or views please?
We stayed at the Amari Palm Reef and loved it. Great rooms, wonderful recreational areas and the staff were fantastic. Sorry, can't help with your other mentioned hotels. Which ever you chose, hope you have a fabulous time! :-)

Which Anantara are you looking at ? I don't know it but FYI you have one in Bo Phut and another in Chaweng. Bo Phut is certainly a quieter place to be than Chaweng.

actually i am looking into the one in Chaweng, Anantara Lawana. it is walking distance from Chaweng but still in a relatively quiet place. Also read reviews that the beaches are better on that side of the island. Any opinions on the hotel itself would be appreciated. Thanks

As I say I don't know the hotels, as for the beaches they are certainly longer not necessarily wider. Sand is pretty good but at Chaweng there is a steep slope not far from the shore that makes for some big waves, almost impossible to swim.

I can only vouch for Lamai beach since my wife and I spent one week on a beach hut there last year. Absolutely loved it... more
