Single female traveller - wanting quiet nightlife and nice beach in Koh Samui

Hey Guys, been years since I posted here! I really want to stay in a nice beach area that has a night life but nothing heavy - I don't want to be walking back down dark allies alone at night though- I see Bo phut seems pretty nice. Any recommendations for a hotel, or suggestions for other areas to stay? - looking to spend around £300 to £500 for two weeks. I'd need aircon :) Cheers!!!
