Any nice resorts to recommend?

by cheekin22 Online Now Jan 3, 2012 at 10:39 PM

Hi everyone, Happy New Year :) I will travel to Koh Samui in February. However, I have no idea where to stay yet. I would prefer to stay in places with nice beaches, not too much of night life. Anyone could recommend a nice beach & resort to stay? My budget is below 1,500 baht per night. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Well Chaweng and Lamai are the two main places for night-life so discount them. I would go for somewhere like Bophut on the north side of the island. Still restaurants and bars for a drink if you want one but not too much noise.Or if you really want a resort out of the way on a nice beach, absolutely no night life in the area apart from a couple of restaurants is the Centara resort down on Laem Set road on the south side of the island. From here you could rent a scooter and also visit the 2 main waterfalls and other bits and pieces in the area.

Hi Have a look at Seascape Beach Resort. It`s the southern end of Chaweng Beach which IMO is the best beach on Samui. It`s far enough away to be quiet yet close enough if you want a little night life. Seascape last time i looked was around the 1400THB per night. It`s a pretty basic resort but IMO well priced. Hope this helps Jamie
