Hi, I will be in Bangkok for a few days from Sat 30th Jan to Wed 3rd Feb and want a few chilled beach days; Koh Samet looks the nearest and easiest choice. Hotels online are looking quite expensive; I am wondering a) how easy it is to rock up and find somewhere reasonably priced say 800-1200baht a night and b)what beach/resort is the best choice?? I would like something relaxed but with a few restaurants/bars, beach activity etc... Is anyone who has been there able to advise? many thanks...
try Saikaew beach or Wong Deuan beach, there are many choices, you can just walk in and take a look or check this site out http://www.kohsamed.org/kohsamed.htm
