Has anybody been to Ao Phai Beach? How far is it to go to the to Hat Sai Kaew Beach and to WongDuern Beach? How's entertainment and eating (day/night) in this beach?
ao phai is about a 10-15 minute walk down the beach from hat sai kaew. there are hotels all along the beach there with restaurants and bars. the food is good, the nightlife depends on how many people are there. in any case, you can walk to sai kaew if you need entertainment. wong duern is ok, but i would go a little further south to ao sang thian, it's nicer and has better resort facilities IMO. ko samet is small. rent a motorbike (300 baht/day) and you can get anywhere on the island in about 10 minutes.
