you should spend at least a couple of days in phi phi. it's a very very beautiful place. in phuket try to avoid patong and get out to some of the smaller places with less tourists.

I agree, Patong is not the place unless you like to share your space with loads of tourists. I stay on Phuket every August at various places and generally just do a day trip to phi phi. I have had many good trips over and one I would never like to experience again. Yes it is the rainy season and yes the sea can be rough but then again every thing van be fine too. My experience of Thailand is that it mainly rains late afternoon and when it does, it DOES! I have never taken a rain coat or umbrella to Thailand and have never used one whilst I have been there.

You have many things to do in and out of Phuket, one of them is PP island, so, I , I would rather recommend a single day trip, by the FAST boat, we did the trip last week, inspite of rough sea and some showers it was just FANTASTIC. ENJOY

Try some Elephant riding (I made my ride in heavy rain and it was a special feeling indeed), visit Fantasea show (better than Las Vegas). (but remember not to buy your tickets from your travelagency or hotel, you can find local dealers that is a lot cheaper, they pick you up from the hotel, drives you to the harbour, and then by speedboat or ship to choosen destination. Hi :) I`ve been to the pee pee islands tree years in a row in August. I just love it there. Once I stayed for a month. Best month of my life!! The weather can be a bit unstable. But there is much more sun than rain. When it rains, it rains a lot for an hour or two then it stops. I also been to Phuket, didn`t like it, even if I stayed in Kata beach wich is a quiet part, I still found it stressing! If you go to Pee Pee, you have to head for Karma Bar! Hi! I did my Elephant ride outside Phuket, You can find rides everywhere, the signs are located very close to the main roads. I dont know if it is possible to make a ride at Phi-Phi. You can find massage everywhere and spas too, you will find lots of tourist information in Thailand, dont worry. At Phi-Phi you will find a lot of accomodations, not only Charlies, ask for information in the harbour and then walk by yourself to the accomodation. Best reg. Per
