I'm coming out to Knoxville for the CAL - Tennesse game in September, and would like to stay walking distance to the stadium. Is that possible?
Hi.....yes, it is possible to stay at a number of places within walking distance. There is a new Hampton Inn, a Holiday Inn, a Crown Plaza(used to be Radisson), Hylton. All of these are about the same distance....about a mile or less. There is a Marriott about two miles. I would book now....... Go Vols!!!!

Thanks for the help; should I be booking now?.....I'm figuring that after Cal wins, I'll be dancing all the way back through the city.

Yes, I would book now. Try the new Hampton Inn first...it's brand new, and convenient. Not sure what rates to expect for home UT football weekends....they may soak you pretty good.....with a minimum, etc. Let me know if you have other questions about the area.
