Hi, how to get to klagenfurt from venice by train? on which website can i book the ticket? thank you for the assistance

Hi, I know there are train connections to Bled but I would like to take a bus instead. The bus company I found was http://www.ap-ljubljana.si/eng/, but it did not have Klagenfurt or Villach as one of the travel points. Does anyone know of a bus from Villach or Klagenfurt that goes down to Bled?

I will be arriving at Klagenfurt from Vienna and I will be staying at the Kolpingsfamilie Klagenfurt-Ost Enzenbergstrasse 26 9020 Klagenfurt, Austria Can anyone tell me which station whould be a better one to get off from? The Haupbahnhof or the Ostbahnhof? The hostel website did give me directions but I wonder if there is any advice i can get from someonne in Klagenfurt. thanks

In 1951-1952 When I was 10-11yrs old, I was boarded at a schloss in or near Klagenfurt used by the British army as accomodation while their children received their education in Villach.I want to travel by bus from Klagenfurt to visit these 2 locations and if anyone can help with addresses I'd be very grateful.I will be in Klagenfurt from 4th to 6th Aug 2011. 2 possible clues might be that I was recently told that the schloss used to be an old hunting lodge and secondly that we were transported into Villach in a 3 ton army truck

We will be staying in Ljubljana in early September and planning to visit Klagenfurt as a day trip--We were also interested in Villach. Any opinions on which would be more interesting for a day visit or should we combine them both into one day? Is there anything we should put on our list as a "must see or do" in either town?

I will be in Klagenfurt for Ironman this July. I’m looking for the best day trip. We are willing to travel up to 3-4 hrs each way. It will probably be my only time in this area so if you had one day what would you do. I’ll be in Klag for 5 days and Barcelona for 4 on this trip. Any info would help. Thank you.

Hi, We are off to Klagenfurt in the Summer 2010. Tehre will be four of us and we're looking for a nice pension not far from the centre or Bahnhof as we are completely on public transport. The kids are 7 and 12 so we'd prefer a family room that sleeps 4. Althought a 3 person room and a single would be the next alternative. Can anyone suggest anywhere? Thank you all.

Thinking of visiting Hochosterwitz from Klagenfurt. no car. just relying on buses, trains and on our legs. anybody knows of a bus to get me as close to the castle as possible. heard i can get to st Veit station and then walk. how far is the distance from the train station to the castle. also thinking of visiting ljubjiana (slovenia) from klagenfurt as a day trip. any suggestions or shall i just stay put and enjoy klagenfurt for the 4 days i m there. thanks. is there a website on bus services in klagenfurt?

We have bought cheap tickets to Klagenfurt (Austria) from Gotenburg (Sweden) for the Easter holidays (form 4-13 of april)and were planning to travel somewhere else than, may be do you know some cheap ways to get to Ljubljana, Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Rome, etc around Austria. We are not going to visit these capitals at once, but rather really want to see at least 1-2 countries. My daughter will be studying at the University of Klagenfurt and my husband and I will be traveling to Klagenfurt with her at the end of January. The tourism office recommended Pension Zlami-Holzer. Can anyone tell me anything about this place or could you recommend others? We will be traveling into Klagenfurt by train and do not plan on renting a car, as we have heard that public transportation is very good there. Any help would be appreciated. Hi I will be making a five day trip to austria at the end of september and i have some questions about the place. I am flying into klagenfurt and would ideally be in portschach for the duration of my trip but if it isnt possible i have the obtion of staying in klagenfurt or villach the only problem is that i dont know how easy it would be getting to portchach early in the morning Secondly I saw that italy is so close to klagenfurt so i wouldnt mind spending a day in italy does any one have any ideas whats around there that is worth visiting and how easy it would be getting there thanks

Flying to Klagenfurt in October on route to Slovenia to see the SCotland football team play. Is a Night in Klangenfurt worthwhile? We will be looking for some good pubs and clubs. We will be wearing our kilts, what sort of reaction will we get? Are the locals used to men in skirts? Any reply would be appreciated, i really no nothing about the town.
