Hi all, I have been to Tokyo twice with a friend but am now planning to visit on my own next September. I guess I'm looking for advice on visiting Tokyo as a single lady. Is there anything I should or shouldn't do, any places I should stay as I've always stayed in a hotel before? Ideally I'd like to take in as much of Tokyo as possible in my two week visit & maybe even see a band if possible & I definitely want to see some baseball (loved this last time I went). However I'm not 100% sure how to go about this on my own so any advice would be really great. Thanks.
Could please someone advise me:
>> if Laduree tea house at Mitsukoshi department at Ginza, Tokyo, Japan have English menu available for dining???
Their contact is TEL：03-3563-2120
It is a pity I do not understand French nor Japanese.
>> if they open from 10:30 or 10:00??
Thank you very much for your help.
I'll be staying south of Sapporo near Lake Shikotsu for 2 nights in Dec 2013. We were hoping to be able to visit Sapporo city during our stay here, but we are not sure how long is the road journey gonna take us? we have a rental car to travel around.
Welcome your advice on our best possible option. Cheers
I will be arriving from Sapporo Chitose Airport. Planning to stay few nights in Sapporo and few nights in Hokkaido resort.
Can anyone share which area hotel should I stay in Sapporo for easy access sight seeing and what should I visit? My main purpose of this trip is to relax so would love to stay in Hokkaido resort though i don't ski but love the snow scenery..which recommended moderate resort to stay?
Thanks in advance.
I am planning to stay in Sapporo from 10 Jan to 17 (which is 8 days....), and I am not sure if I would be better off buying 7 day JR pass or indivdual tickets. The problem is I do not have the price list
Now here's the breakdown
Sappporo airport to Sapporo
From Sapporo to Asahikawa return trip
Sapporo around the city, so most likely in city but I am not sure if it can be used for tram??
Sapporo to Lake Toya resort for 1 night. (The hotel provided free shuttle bus from Sapporo to the hotel and will arrive at resort at 4pm, but we may consider to take by JR rail early in morning to make use of the day and facility there but then again, it depends on the answer here too!)
Lake Toya to Noboribetsu resort for 1 night
Noboribetsu to Sapporo
Sapporo to Otaru return
Because it has passed 7th day, obviously, we will have to buy the train ticket to airport seperately which we don't know how much it cost 1 way from Sapporo to Airport!
I know for the JR 7 day pass is 25,500 yen but I wanted to know if I break down the price indivdually, how much would it cost or where is the website that shows it?
Your answer and help will be appreciated!
Three of us (may be added more) budget travellers (backpackers) need some suggestion of our itenerary. Our plan is to arrive in KIX on 28 Aug in the morning (around 10am) and go back home from HND on 3 Sep (around 11pm).
We still dont know the trip plan yet but we would like to visit osaka, kyoto, nagoya (occasionally, one of my friends has relatives there) and tokyo.
Could anyone please suggest us the itenerary? Any help from everyone here is very appreciated :D
I am planning a trip to Japan with my parents and my sister in October and my dad is a huge fan of the Kodo drumming group. He sees them whenever they come to Toronto. My sister and I found out that they are actually performing in Japan while we are there and we wanted to surprise him with tickets to a show, but the only way that we could work it into our itinerary was their show in Kitakyushu on October 7th. Unfortunately, navigating the theatre's japanese website has been difficult to say the least, not speaking/reading japanese, and we have managed to gather that the tickets went on sale at the beginning of August to members, but that window for purchasing tickets has since closed (not to mention the fact that they don't ship tickets abroad and we don't have an address in Japan to ship to). In any case, it appears as though (and we have no idea how accurate this info is) a very small number of tickets will be available at the theatre on the day of the performance.
Does anyone out there have any insight to lend to this situation? Is there any other way to get tickets beforehand? I fear that we will show up at the box office on the day of the concert, there will be no tickets left to purchase, and we will have re-routed our itinery to Kyushu for nothing. If anyone can help navigate the website, or provide any help whatsoever on how we might be able to score tickets, I would be eternally grateful!
