Hello, I will be flying into KKN on April 30 from Oslo and then need to make my way to Vadso. Is there regular ferry service from Kirkenes to Vadso? Or is another form of transportation recommended?
(for their german-webpage add: .de instead of: .no etc.)
They go there every day of the year and they also take day-passangers, so you dont need to book a cabin, BUT you certainly have to make a reservation !!!
Thanks for this! But are there other ferries available as well?

I dont know,I have done it by Hurtigruten and there is not a lot of trafic up there. So WHY would they need another ferry, when Hurtigruten goes there every day in both directions and can even load cars.
Another possibility is driving around the bay.
Hi there :)
Hurtigruten does NOT go between Kirkenes-Vadsoe.
It only goes Vadsoe-Kirkenes.
When the skip depart from Kirkenes it's first stop is Vardoe (a small place north of Vadsoe).
I live in Kirkenes, that's why I know.
And there are no ferries between Kirkenes-Vadsoe.
You have only two options:
1) Book a flight (15 minutes in air)
2) Go by bus (need to change bus 1 time - they are corresponding)
For bus check out boreal.no
Have fun :)
