change location

Old Bank House or elsewhere?

We have a room reserved for Oct/06, but not reading good things about this hotel. Thinking about the Desmond House or some other nice lodging...any thoughts...thanks Alice & Rob

    I'm surprised to be honest - the Old Bank House would be highly regarded here in Kinsale. The only downside is that it is on the main street and may be noisey. If you want to get slightly away from the buzz (although October will be quieter) I would suggest Friars Lodge or Blindgate House. Both are very smart.Desmond House is ok.

    Donal...thanks for the recommendations...picked the Blindgate House! Noted remarks made on www.tripadvisor.com regarding the Old Bank House re the condition of rooms and decided to change. Thanks again....Alice in California
