There's not a whole lot to tell about Kingsville. The population of the town itself is only a few thousand, I don't know the official number. It has developed quite a bit in the last 4-5 years with the appearance of chain restaurants and stores ( Chili's, Lowe's, and of course a Super Wal-Mart). It is about a 30-40 minute drive to Corpus Christi which is more like real civilization, with a pop. of a few hundred thousand. There's Padre Island at Corpus and going South, but the best beaches are at S. Padre Island, via Brownsville, which is about a 2 hr drive away (and is my neck of the woods). And the there is always Mexico on the other side of the river which offers a lot of interesting opportunities. In short, be ready for small-town living, but faster city life is not too far away.
