Hi, I might be going to Kharkov/Kharkiv in July for 4 weeks, doing a Russian language programme at a university there (I study Russian Studies at university) I've found a hotel at 120UAH a night, guess that's about as cheap as I'll find for somewhere decent? Anyway, the hotel told me the university is only two metro stops away (with one change) I'll be going there (the university) daily Monday to Friday so trying to figure out if it's possible to get a monthly metro ticket and if so where and how and how much does it actually cost?Perhaps someone knows? If I go I would be staying near Gagarin Avenue/Prospekt Gagarina metro station, are there many supermarkets, cafes, pubs etc around there does anyone know? Is that a relatively central part of the city? Thanks.

I am 22 Years Young Boy; I will be in Kharkiv next month for my bachelor level study (BBA). University told me that, "You need around USD 4,000$ per annum", I can pay my 1st year program full fee, but after that my family can't help me. I need to earn myself for my further study. Is it possible for earn early USD 4000$ in kharkiv? Can I make enough money for living and studying in there? I am ready to do any kind of Job in there (without illegal). I have also 3 years working experience in here (Nepal) as accountant. How much chance to get a job in there sooner? Please give me right information as soon as possible.

Hi, My flight is reaching Khariv Airport around 22:30 hrs. So around 23:00 hrs I will be able to get out of the airport. My hotel address is in : Mir Hotel 27a, Lenin Avenue 310072 Kharkiv Ukraine. Please can you suggest me a way to get to the Hotel from Airport keeping in mind the timings. I would also like to know the local bus timings and taxi fare. Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated! Please also advice if there will be any problem in communicating with the localites as I only know English.

Hi, I'm planning to visit Kharkov/Kharkiv for 3 weeks soon and I'm just wondering what the nightlife in Kharkov is like? I was in Ternopil a few months ago and didn't really like it that much, it was ok. I know Kharkov is much bigger of course so I presume there's more to see and do ther compared to Ternopil. I'm in Ireland right now and I've sorted out an apartment (about 190UAH per night - an ok price I think?) How much are taxis in Kharkov? What about entry into nightclubs? How much are drinks (vodka etc) in pubs and clubs in Kharkov. Prices were pretty good in Ternopil but Kharkov might be more expensive as it's a bigger city of course. Are there any good pubs and clubs in Kharkov? Thanks.

Also if anyone knows what the train departure and arrival times are between Kiev and Kharkov. I am arriving in Kiev and traveling to Kharkov. But I have never been to Kharkov and will not have a translator to help me get from the railroad and the hotel. Thanks... Bob

hi,myself and a friend will be coming to kharkiv on october 4,for the football game.iam finding it very difficult to find a room for the night as most of the hotels(4 with online booking) are full.does anybody know if the railway station at kharkiv has rooms open to foreigners or any other hotels apart from the main ones that i could book,or maybe a repputable apartment agency(this is dificult for 1 night).any advice apreciated. thanks.

Hello out there... I am coming to do my bachelors in Medical Science at Kharkov State Municipal Academy and I would like to know more about the school I am about to get admitted to. I ahve heard its a good school but I have not been able to locate the school on the web. I have not even seen the school's homepage and will be very happy if anybody could help me out. I would like to know, if there is a basketball team in kharkov where I can join them and train so that I can keep my talents in basketball from fading into the skies. Also, will getting a job at Kharkov be possible since I am an international student coming all the way from Ghana. Is the working condition favourable for international students?? Thanks alot.
