If money is no object what in your opinion is the best hotel room in key west? The two bedroom suite photos of the ocean key resort look nice. But maybe you guys have a favorite? Thanks!
I saw on the internet that the city of key west is in the works with traffic in the asphalt of the streets. I wonder if this harms the tourist, if there is any problem to visit the city in July 2013. We would like to stay in there and we have doubts about this. Thanks Dori

Where is a good place to start when trying to rent a vacation property in Key West?
Are there any good salsa clubs in key west for Cinco De Mayo?
My wife & I will be going to Key West in May to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Looking for information from locals, such as must-do's, must-see's, etc. Also, anything we should expect or be prepared for that time of year, like crowds, gatherings, parking, getting around? What's the best beach for relaxing? Safe local bar, club for dancing? Any neighborhoods we should avoid after dark? Anyway, looking for insider tips!
We'll more than likely be staying at the Inn at Key West. Before we commit to that, any suggestions on the hotel would be nice, too.
About us...From Northern Minnesota, looking forward to some beach time, relaxation, shopping, dining, drinks, nightlife. Maybe a tour and/or kayaking? On a bit of a budget, so we'd be looking for frugal suggestions. We're only there for 3 nights, and with drive time there & back, we'll have Thurs evening, all day Fri, and all day Sat to cram in as much stuff as we can!
I may visit Key West around March 6th, but that seems like the prime time period for all of the "college spring break" crowds. If I want to avoid this crowd, is there any way around it? Or is my time period just not going to work out for me? If so, I may choose another destination for my week long FL trip... not sure where yet. I live in Orlando so I'd able to just drive out wherever in FL for that week. Have not done much traveling here except for towns along the I-4.
Ok first things first, me and 2 of my buddies are looking to go to Key West for 4 nights and 3 days towards the end of March. The best rates I am seeing is for Sunrise Suites, and I would like to know what everyone thinks of it, specifically people that are going to KW looking to party. Near enough to the beach? Cheap enough to take cabs downtown and back every night? We are all on student budgets! Also, and probably more importantly, my friends are being a pain about this and not sure if they want to do KW. I've only done KW once, and it was the best time of my life. They have never been. Can someone please talk a little about what it is like to be single and partying in Key West in March, when colleges are all on spring break? Also, Does it matter at all that we would go Mon-Fri, and not be there for any friday night or saturday night, or is it the same every night? How much do you think the average male would spend a day, if just on food and drinking? (we plan to do more, but this is the main budget lol) To anyone who responds, seriously thank you, it is GREATLY appreciated, esp if it helps get me there!
My husband and I are thinking of going to Key West for our 10 year anniversary and I am worried there isn't going to be enough to do there to keep my husband occupied for 7 days? I don't have to do something all the time and neither does he, but can't do nothing most of the time either. Also the hotel we were looking at is the Southernmost Hotel on the Beach. Is that a good hotel? Any help of tips would be good.
Hi. I will be visiting early February and looking for a free place to pitch my NF tent. I have read Leo's, Byrd etc. I am looking for something different. Any suggestions?? Can I just set up on the beach?? Thank you

My mom and I are thinking of visiting Key West the week of Christmas for a week. Any tips from anyone? Is it a fun time to be there, or is it way too crowded? We've never been, so am looking for advice. We do like to have a cocktail or 2 and love beautiful sunsets and warm weather. I like what I've read about Key West in terms of the eclectic vibe. Thanks!
Hello: My husband and I are thinking of getting away from cold NYC in December (last week of Dec). We have just a couple of simple requirements - (1) weather/temperature wise: in the 70s but no high humidity, no rain or not too much rain (2) just to hang out by the water and good restaurants. We have several of places in mind - Hawaii: a no brainer as we have been there but wanted to check out places we've never been to before: Bermuda or Key West. What's the temp like in Key West at the end of the year? We have not pin down where in Key West we will be going. So any suggestions on that will be helpful as well. Thanks
just wondering if the bars and clubs allow 18+ girls or if everyone has to be 21? planning a bachelorette party nd one of the girls is only 19 r 20.
Has anyone stayed at the Key Lime Inn?
Hi everyone Im going to take a cruise in a couple of weeks and I will visit Key West. I know there are many places to see, but Im specially interested in Hemingway`s House. Do you recommend to take the trolley tour or is it better to walk around? Is the Hemingway´s house far from the port? Will I need to take a cab or can I walk over there? Thank you!
We will be on carnival for a 1 day stop at key west. We are thinking about 3 options: visiting earnest hemingway house, seeing the key west yacht race. What do you guys think? Also is there any snorkeling there?

My husband and I are going to be in Key West Wed.-Sun and I want to find some place relaxing entertainment for an evening and also a dancing club night, however were in our late 30. What best fits our age and desire. Lastly, what is the "clothing optional" bars and where. If its like a swing club I'm in...
My husband, brother, and I are going to be in Miami this upcoming weekend for the Dolphins/Broncos game, and we will be spending our Saturday driving down to Key West since we have never been there before. I am absolutely excited and would LOVE to stay a month, but since we are only traveling there for one day, what are the main places that we must absolutely visit while we are here? Also, my husband doesn't like to drink and my brother is only 20...however I love a margarita or two ;) And I am an avid picture-taker! Any advice is much appreciated!!
HI everyone. My wife and I have been planning a Road Trip down to the Key's for a few months. I already have hotels booked etc.. Now my problem, i jsut checked the 10 day forecast and it show RAIN RAIN RAIN all 10+ days. I am guessing because of tropical storm ophelia? SO am I screwed? I'd about to pull out and re-plan a new trip. Thinking either North East or better yet Colorado / Wyoming (Yellowstone) instead? I'd just hate to have a 10 day RAINY beach vacation. What do you guys suggest? Think i'll get rained out?
Three of my friends and I were thinking about taking a girl's trip to Key West in December. We are all 25 years old and we just want some feedback on some hotels to stay at and bars to go to. We want to make sure we are at a hotel with a great pool and near the beach, and we want to be within walking distance of the fun bars. Any suggestions?
Looking for information about transportation for a small wedding group of 20-30. It is a sunset ceramony with a dinner to follow, so I believe that by this time, public transportation is done for the day. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced mode of transportation for our group? We will need to travel from Sunrise Suites Resort to The Jolly II Rover (about 5 mi.)at around 5:30, and then again from Pier House resort back to Sunrise Suites around 10:30.
1 day to the keys, can it be done successful using pulic transport? or use tour bus? any advice appreciated.

Dear Forum, hi, how is everyone ;-) ? Being California lovers, we have decided to do Florida this year :-) (been to Miamo and Orlando before... great memories, back in the 80s...) Key West or any island before that? Do you have any suggestions for us? Cozy B&B, all inclusive parks with entertainment for my kid and relaxing for myself? I would be VERY greatful. Thanks all, voiceoverqueen
