what is there to do in key largo
My wife and I will be at Key Largo for 3 nights, 2 full days available. We definitely want to try snorkeling if water is not too cold (will it?) and we'd also like to see check out Key West if possible. I saw reviews about Bahia Honda state park, how does that compare to the other one called John Pennemkemp? Obviously we won't be doing both of them to save time for more sightseeing :) Thanks!!
Has anyone heard of the Dream Bay Resort in Key Largo, there are no reviews other then on their website and I have a terrible feeling it is a trailer camp
Can you snorkel in Feb? What is the water temp...I am from Ohio...it is snowing here!
We will be in Key Largo over Christmas/New Year. Where is a good place to shore fish, or fish from pier? Thanks
I'll be in Miami for about a week this month and am considering a 24 hour jaunt into the keys. My wife doesn't care for long car rides, so we're looking initially at Key Largo. We're not opposed to driving further than Key Largo, but I wonder if one of the other islands has more character or value. I've heard much about Key West, but no so much about Key Largo and the others. Which Island and places do you think would be best for us considering the following: We like good local-flavor seafood. We like natural beaches without high rise hotels & shopping centers. We'd potentially like a good low budget snorkeling adventure. (Do you have to do the whole boat/guide thing, or is there a good place to rent gear and wade in?) We do NOT like resorts. We do NOT like overly corny Jimmy Buffet style party-bead culture. Thanks for any insight in advance.

My husband and I will be visiting Key Largo in November with our toy fox terrior. Are there any attractions besides the coral reef state park where we can visit with our pet? Thank you very much.
We are thinking of Dolphin Therapy for our daughter. There are so many to choose from but we have narrowed the choice down to Florida. Does anyone know of the Island Dolphin Care? Any experience? We know dophin therapy is not magic cure. We are taking it as a holiday and hoping the little one will have a great time with the dolphins. We found Dolphin human therapy on web as well. Any idean which one is the best? Also need some advice on accomodations? We looked at trip advisors but it is quite different posting. We quite like Ocean Pointe suites but some posting at Trip advisors said it was quite dirty an the pool wasn't nice. The most important thing to us is cleaniness . Thanks for any suggestion.
Could anyone suggest a decent camp ground (for a pop-up camper) in or near Key Largo, Florida? I'm planning on 12 days down there in July to learn to scuba, etc and enjoy the warm weather and water. Thank you.

A few of us are planning a week dive trip to Key Largo in August and with the price of hotels I thought it might be just as cheap and a lot nicer to stay in a condo. Can any locals or anyone that has been recommend a nice clean condo to stay at? I have been looking around, but its hard to tell much about them from a few pictures. I'm looking to go no higher than1200 for the week. Thanks for the help. Angela
I would like some feedback on oceanpoint we will be staying in the keylargo for a couple days. I would like to hear good and bad.
Husband and I will be flying into Miami in October. Have a day before we check into our place in Key West and thought about spending the night in Key Largo. Does this make sense? I'd like to see a little sun before we make the LONG drive to KW. Any ideas on where to stay? I want a nice place with a restaurant and pool convenient. Thanks for the info! Cheryl
Hello: My family and I are planning a trip to Key Largo in the search for a good snorkeling place for beginners. Any suggestions? Are there any places right off a beach that we would not need to take a boat to? Also, is December and January too cold to snorkel down there or are the temps still pretty warm. Thanks for any advice!
Has anyone stayed at this resort? We are looking at three potential hotels. Azul del Mar - Key Largo Holiday Inn Resort - Key Largo Ocean Point Suites Anyone have any experience with these properties? Best regards, Doug
Hi: We hope to camp in Key Largo or anywhere else in the Keys towards the end of February, first week in March. Can anyone suggest a nice spot for a family of 4? We are looking for a nice tent spot, walking distance to the ocean, not overrun by kids partying for Spring break. Any good State parks? Would they all be booked up already? Thanks for any suggestions! linda

Me and my girlfriend will be stopping over for a night in Key Largo. Can someone recommend an inexpensive but nice( if possible ) place to stay. The place does not have to be great but clean and not run down. Something from70-100.

Could anyone recommend a cool, maybe off-beat, place to stay in Key Largo?
Next month, I have a conference in Key Largo that ends on a Friday afternoon. I could fly straight home, or I could hang out until Sunday. (I'll be flying out of Miami.) I've never been to any Keys, but I've been to Miami and don't like it at all...also been to the Ft. Lauderdale area and would be perfectly happy never to see it again. Are the Keys more pleasant and less strip-mall-y? Should I stay the weekend, and if so, where?
