We stayed there in June. Lovely property and the hosts cannot do enough for you. They even arranged to have my laundry done by a local service so I did not need to pack as much clothes on this trip. The rooms are big and airy. It is about a 10 minute walk into town. The town itself was a little touristy for my taste but it is a great jumping off point for the attractions in the area.

It sounds like Druid Cottage perhaps? It's about ten minutes walk from the town on the N70. It's close to a few nice bars and restaurants (Casey's at The Brook Lane Hotel a few minutes walk away do absolutely lovely food by the way) and the owners are a lovely family, more than happy to help us when we were there. Got our laundry sorted for us no problem at all and they had a drying room outside too for our walking boots etc. Were very happy with! The website's here: http://druidcottagekenmare.com
