Myself and my wife to be plan to honeymoon in hawaii in May next year.
We were hoping to play some golf in Kauai. I have 2 questions:
1) Why is it always cheaper to play in the afternoon? As far as i can tell, if you played at say 1.30-2pm, you'd still fit 18 holes in and would also miss the heat of the day. Plus i would have thought you'd get some lovely views on sun on it's way down. Am i missing something? Does rain or wind tend to come later in the day? Will it be much busier and less relaxing???
2) Myself and my fiance play off 18 and 25 respectively. What do people think would be the best courses to play in Kauai? Ideally we want somewhere with stunning views and stunning golf, but would probably not want to play somewhere where we will need 100 balls each (eg i hear Princeton may be too hard?).
Thanks for any help.
Expect a 5-6 hour round at resort courses. Yes it is profane. Kauai Lagoons is a pretty course and Princeville is very lush. Expect rain in the afternoon and be happy if it doesn't. Poipu is the drier area.
Google Kauai golf and each course should have a website that will explain twighlight (late) tee time rates
