My fiance and I are planning on taking our honeymoon to Kauai in November and are trying to find an oceanfront, private house or cottage, that would be right on a nice beach. We also would like a jacuzzi bath tub or hot tub and possible access to a pool. Any suggestions? Also should we limit our search to a specific beach or area of the island for that time of the year??? Honest suggestions needed! Thanks!
Try to go online with a cottage expert in Kauai. As for location, the Poipu area is the sunny side of the Island with golden beaches and warm sands, good for snorkeling. If you don't mind rain and wind now and then, the Hanalei Bay area is the romantic and scenic side of the Island with majestic mountains and beautiful vistas of the ocean. A rainy day in paradise, on your honeymoon, sounds pretty good to me. Poipu is closer to all the attractions, because it is central between Hanalei Bay and the Weimea Canyon. The Wailua river and the touristy fern grotto is closer to the Hanalei side. check out www.byownervacationrentals.com/vacation-rentals/usa/hawaii/kauai .... Try Islander on the Beach. The website is: www.hawaii-oahu/islander-on-the-beach.com. They're right on the beach, and have a swimming pool and outdoor jetted spa.

Aloha. It can be very wet in December and the trail does get sloppy and slippery on the boardwalk in wet conditions.... more
