I'm assuming the cheapest way is by train. I cant seem to find an alternative other than raileurope which i understand charges slightly higher. I tried SBB's website, i'm not sure if I input correctly, but there is no train service from Paris to Lucerne. Is this a popular route? Any advice will be appreciated.

I wish to do the Lake Luzern cruise thing but I’m a little confused about the time slot to choose. I would arrive at Luzern through TGV at around 4 pm and I believe by the time I check-in to the hotel and get ready it would be around 6 pm. Now, I want to do the Lake Luzern cruise during the day time when there’s sunlight – and not during night time. Please let me know until what time of the day Luzern city (particulary Lake Luzern area) would have adequate sunlight (atleast normal, if not bright).
My wife and i will be traveling to lucerne on September 28th for 3 days. Need a little advice

I am planning a 5 day trip to Lucerne in October from 19th to 25th with my family Wife and 3 kids aged 12, 10 and 7. Would be obliged if you could help me with some queries.
1. I plan to make Lucerne my base and apart from seeing the Lucerne area, I plan to make day trips to Zurich and Berne-is this a good idea or should I be looking at Zurich as the base and make trips to Lucerne.
2. Any help with a broad plan/ itinerary for the Lucerne area-things to do, places to see etc would be appreciated.
3. should I be looking at a Tell pass or Swiss pass or both given my above itinerary.
Thanks and Regards.
i will reach lucern around 2-3 pm and would like to go mt rigi in the evening time. will there be any transport available by that time?
Hi, I plan to visit Lucerne for few days. I'd arrive at the Lucerne train station through the TGV from Basel SBB roughly at around 1505. I am going to stay at Ibis Styles Luzerne City hotel. Please advise me what would be easiest, safest and economical way to reach my hotel from the Luerne Train station. Thank you
We plan to stay in Lucerne for only one night, but we'll have a car and most hotel I've looked at (3 to 4 star) say parking is available nearby for a surcharge, or at a nearby public parking place. Can anyone suggest a nice (charming?) hotel, not necessarily in the middle of the city, where we can park without having to pay?
Thank you very much.
Anybody knows what is the name of the fountain in Weinmarkt Platz in Lucerne and what is it representing?

Is anyone can help to provide some info on Stanserhorn, Titlis & Transportation Museum?
a) Open Air Cable Car to the Stanserhorn.
I've browsed through the website, the fares as below. May I know what is the difference between the 1st & 2nd options? Both also back to Stans. Is the 4th option including return ticket to Stans?
Adults (Swiss Pass) CHF 34.00 (return)
2) Round trip Stans-Stanserhorn-Wirzweli-Dallenwil-Stans
Adults (Swiss Pass) CHF 23.40
3) Round trip Stans-Stanserhorn-Wiesenberg-Dallenwil-Stans
Adults (Swiss Pass) CHF 25.00
4) Good morning ticket (departure: 8.15am / 9.15am)
Adults (Swiss Pass) CHF 29.00
I would like to hike for 1 section from Trubsee station. Would like to confirm the correct route. Is it from Engelberg & get off Trubsee station, then I’ll need to hike up until Titlis or to Jochpass & hop in the cable car from Jochpass to Titlis? If this included into the Engelberg to Titlis route? And how long will it take to hike up until the next station to catch up the next cable car to Titlis?
c) Transportation Museum Lucerne, is this museum covered free with Swiss Pass. I know Swiss Pass got provide free entry for museum but not sure is it applies the same for Transportation Museum Lucerne.
Thanks a lot. Have a nice day.
I want to ask who can tell me the cheapest option to travel from geneva to lucerne
As part of a short trip in Nov this year, for duration of 5-6 days I have planned to visit Interlaken, Paris and Lucerne
My flight tickets and hotel bookings are all done
What I am left with respect to plan is about travel between these cities
As I ave already been to France twice, I have an idea about getting reservation and all
But I would like to know the duration and cost (approx) for the mentioned below travel:
- Zurich to Interlaken : Evening train
- Interlaken to Paris: Evening train
- Paris to Lucerne: Evening/ Early Morning train
- Lucerne to Zurich: Evening train
I already did alot google on this, but it doesn't seems that much helpful
As hotel bookings are already done, I wont be very flexible in changing the travel plan
Also, rather than booking train tickets online, I am planning to get all tickets done when I reach Zurich from station itself, as I thing they will provide me better info about travel passes and tickets all together
Objective here is to get the cash ready with me for travel purpose separatly
Thanks in advance for your assistance
