Safe neighborhood, yeah, I know it's relative

I'm going to be about 1 mile west of downtown KC,MO. what is this neighborhood like? Run down? high crime? 859 Benton Blvd.

    Hey Hey! 859 Benton is east of Downtown, I believe. I could be wrong. Anyway, That area is Section 8...public housing, residential. That area is a hodge podge of recently renovated and cleaned up blocks to the run down, and dilapidated. I wouldn't leave my doors unlocked. The west part of downtown is what we call "the bottoms". Huge old warehouses and stockyards next to railroad tracks. Mostly commercial. Beyond that is the latino district.
