Read from some guide books that some car rental companies in Adelaide do not allow their rental cars to be driven into Kangaroo Island. Is that anyone's experience?. We are planning a trip to Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo island. Would be easier and I think cheaper if we can get a car from Adelaide airport for the whole journey and return at the airport.
Factor in the price of the ferry as well for the car, it was quite expensive a few years ago.

Thanks for the advise. Will check up the ferry rates. In the meanwhile I have also emailed the car rentals company with the earlier question also.

yes we did find that. Its because most of the side roads are dirt. We did find a car though, and had a ball! you will love KI
