Hi there. Can anyone tell me if there are any civilian flights into Kandahar? I m looking for flights preferrably from Dubai, and if possible, booking possibilities via the internet. If not from Dubai, can anybody tell me if there are other cities that are connected by (civilian) airline(s) to Kandahar, except maybe Kabul?? Thanks for replies Marcel
Salut mon ami, There're flights from Dubai to Kabul, as it's the capital but even there's no information about a domestic airport in Kandahar, a stronghold of Talibans, there're flights by Kam air to Herat and other cities but I've been to Afghanistan many times, I've never heard of any flights to Kandahar. There are no direct international flights that I know of from Dubai to Kandahar. The only airline I know that fly into Kandahar is www.flyariana.com You will have to go through customs in Kabul. Just about all flights to Kabul from Dubai go through Dubais airport terminal #2. The old domestic airport which is about a 30 minute taxi ride from the International Airport you are most likely to fly into.
