Me and my boyfriend want to go to east Borneo (Semporna and Sipadan Island). Now I read that it is not so easy. Some tourists were kidnapped last month.
Is anybody in east Bornea at the moment or went there in the last days?
How is it there at the moment? Should we avoid such a trip?

and is the atmosphere worth it/ or is it just an overrated train ride?
