Hello everyone, I know this is not a "travel" question but one that I would love help with. I have sponsor families living in or near Kampala and was wondering if anyone knew rougly how much rent would be a month in the houses that poor African families live in. Even a rough estimate would be great as I can't find anything when I "google" it. Many thanks, Roseann
IT DEPENDS ON HOW BIG THE FAMILY IS. If a small family that can stay in a single room can go for20-$50 US Dolars However for the big family that needs a really house ranges from65-150 US dolars per month. out side the city for poor African faimilies hope this answers your qn Mary travel hemispheres.

If you have read, some one have posted same question; according to their answers, it can be estimated roughly, 20.00 - 60.00US equivalent to 40.000 - 110.000 Ugandan shillings, that's really cheap, and it might be little harder to find in the city center. If You want a quite place, Enttebe would better but few mils away. u can go to upper Kampala, "Kololo" where riches Ugandan live, can be little expensive but it's nicer.
