We will be staying at a time share(Kona Coast Resort) we will only be there for a week in October. Is it possible to use public transit for getting around and to and from groceries, etc.? Thanks
Hawaii doesn't have much public transit, and if you're staying in Kona, my guess is that there isn't anything that could help you. You can probably get a shuttle from the airport, and to a few of the local beaches and attractions, but you'll either have to walk or take a taxi to the grocery store. My advice is to rent a car, at least for a few days. =)
