Traveling Distance

by cabmorr Online Now Jan 19, 2005 at 9:54 AM

Does anyone know the miles between SFO Airport & OGG Airport? I need to plan a family trip (5 people) for January 2006 & I'm wondering if a mileage visa would help in earning mileage & using it to get good ticket fares.

Hmm, if I understand your question correctly, you could go the web site of the airline you are likely to fly and plug in the two cities. I know Continental's web site lists the mileage for each segment in the search results. Hope this helps. Also, saw this web site, but no idea if these are good prices are if the web site is legit: allabouthawaii.com/specials/...

If I understand your question correctly, you will have to have a huge amount of airline miles to redeem for free tickets - I just did this for Delta and it is 35,000 miles for a free ticket to Hawaii. I also have a family of 5 so had to have 105,000 miles and then buy 2 tickets. Keep in mind that once you do have enough miles, the open seats for these tickets are limited. Delta's first opening this year was after August 29. Of course it's harder around holiday time. A mileage visa can help if you are planning to charge ALOT, and quickly so you can reserve your seats. Good luck!
