Hi Oradea specialists.
I'm planning a trip to visit a friend in Oradea, I want to take her around the area, stay at small nice and cosy places, enjoy some good local cuisine and have a few good days.
Could you kindly provide me a few pointers of what to do, where to go and so on? Budget is not really a problem.

Hi I am Canadian and I will soon relocate to Oradea. I am looking for English speaking schools for my 11 year old and 6 year old sons. Curiculum is not relevant (British, US, International etc) I would appreciate if anybody has any information about schools there or at least clue where to start from.

Hi there, I am heading Apuseni in the late summer (first September days). I should arrive to Arad in Saturday morning. Are there any buses or trains to Stei, Sudrigiu or Pietroasa village? Few years ago I went there by bus but I had more time to improvize and find some by myself. Now I had to plan it so I need some info from locals to advise me where to find a timetable. i got admitted to university of oradea , medical faculty . i need to know if the city is safe for foreign females . and also i want to know is renting apartments alone safe their , what should i look for when searching through real estate agency? and whats the usual rent cost ?about the university hows it reputation , as far as i have read many foreign students go there but is there anyone who studied there would be kind enough to share his/her experience? and i want to know the mobile/internet services that are offered there and thier prices please. last but not least is there hotels in oradea that i can book room via internet? thankyou

My mother in law lived in Oradea before WW-II when it was part of Hungary. She lived in a street called Rimanoczi Utca, which was going to a Piazza called Bemer Ter, Where the theater was. Can anyone tell me what are the new names of the street and the piazza?

next week on august 10th, we will arrive in oradea at noon or in the evening coming from hungary by train. where can we get a bed to sleep? are there people offering private rooms? where can we find them. we don't have the money to stay in a hotel so private rooms would be an alternative. it's our first time in oradea and in romania. have you got any advices for us? is there anything important i should know when i come there?

Hi guys, I am a South African, living in the UK, thinking about studying at Oradea University for a Medical degree. I am trying to get as much information on Oradea as possible. What is the average rent for an apartment, fully furnished and heated for someone living on their own? How much should be budgeted for food and services per month? What is the University like? Has it got a good reputation? Is it easy for foreigners to get by in Oradea? English freely spoken? IS their any hidden charges/pitfalls I should look out for? Is it fairly safe for a woman living by herself? Any areas that should be avoided? Does anyone know anything about the medical degree? What do you think would the effect be on the cost of living/ education fees when Romania join the EU? Cheapest flights from the UK? hi i am from greece and i have 2 questions to ask: 1) is oradea regularly connected by train with budapest and if the answer is yes,how often has trains? 2)about the real estate in romania,does anyone know if foreigners have the right to own real estate properties in romania? In most east european countries is still forbidden so i wonder if the same applies in romaina too. (second question has not to do with oradea only it has to do with the whole country)
