Is Larkin Terminal and JB Sentral just the same?

Hi there! Is Thistle hotel near to some bars or restaurants around the area? Or is it better to stay in KSL Resorts ?

If i am coming from KL to JB is there an immigration checkpoint also? Or only if I will be going to Singapore?

I was in Johor Bahru in march 2010 but can't remember which shopping mall we went to. Which is the biggest and newest now...is it KSL city mall, Tebrau shopping mall or the Johor Duty Free Zone? I think the one we went to last had a fountain at the entrance? Just looking for a mall with a good variety of shops that are not too pricey. Thanks.

Hi vt friends, I got a friend staying in JB- Tune hotel(Lot PTB 22819, Jalan Skudai, Mukim Bandar Johor Bahru), she is arriving in 2 weeks time. I live in Singapore & have to visit her there. Can anyone advise what is a cheap & safe way to reach from city square? Thanks!

I plan to long stay @ Suria City Hotel Johor and i like fishing. I plan go to fishing @ Tanjung Putri long jetty (Malaysia) and Woodland new long jetty (Singapore). My question is : 1. Can i cross Malaysia-Singapore border by foot (walking), is the law allowed that? (because i see from google earth distance between that two fishing place is not to far) 2. Is Tanjung Putri and Woodland jetty open 24 hours for fishing? 3. Beside that 2 fishing spot please recomend me other jetty that open for fishing near my hotel. thank you and give me respond please

Hi, Since June 2011, I'd been having difficulties entering JB due to the massive jam at the custom. Have anyone came across a good time when there is no or minimal traffic jam at the custom? Can anyone please advise? My mom often visits JB as we visits our relatives over there as we stay in Singapore. So family visits is important to us and would appreciate any help or advise on this issue. Thanks.

Hi, my husband and I are looking for a good massage place in JB (may be City Square or Bukit Indah or somewhere nearby). Does anyone have any recommendations? I prefer those which do pressure point massage (some call it Swedish massage). I like Kenko in Singapore but they don't have any branch in JB. I contacted Thai Odyssey but they only do Thai massage. Hi, We are planning to visit Universal studio in 3rd week of November from JB. There will be 2 adults & 2 kids (age 4) planning to visit for 3days/2nights. Is travelling on Saturday morning to Singapore and returning to JB on Monday morning/before noon will be advisable? We will be visiting my mom in north part of Johor and sadly there's nobody could drive us into S'pore. We are looking at travelling by cab from JB to Spore vice versa. Can someone let me know where to get the cab/taxi from both places and how much they charge? Also, will the taxi from Singapore will send us to JB bus stop? I'm thinking of getting a bus from JB bus stop back to Segamat on the same day(Monday). Is it feasible? Please advise. Thanks a lot!

Hi, I am looking at flying into singapore late on Feb 4th, Friday night and wish to go to Danga Bay over the border to stay and then see Universal Studios cheap. Is this able to be done? Also, what is the sachedule foir going back and approx cost? I dont want to change buses etc if possible.

what is the best way to get to Bahau? 1) I thought of catching a SBS 170 or CW2 then where do I get off to catch the train from JB to Bahau? Can I get off at the CIQ and walk to the train station?Is there any signs at CIQ to direct me out to the train station? Or 2)is the "Terbrau shuttle service" still running?This will cost more right but less hassle?right 4) how much is each option say I start from Queen street(170 Terminal, each for SBS 170 CW2 express and by shuttle train)? thanks kim

I am researching car rentals from JB online and have short listed it to Avis/Hertz which are more expensive, and then Insas Pacific Renta a car and Hawk Rent a car which I assume are local companies and more competitive. Hawk rent a car is significantly cheaper. Has anyone rented from them in JB or are familiar with them. I sent them an e-mail, so far no response but I can book the car online...are they reliable? Also is the Kotaraya Bus Station at the same location as the airport lounge in JB (where th Aiport Express from Singapore arrives and from which the shuttle bus to Senai Airport terminal leaves?). Looks like Insas and Hawk have their rental desk at the JB Airport Lounge/Kotaraya Bus Station rather than at the terminal itself? Thanks
