Travelling back and forth from Singapore to Johor Bahru

I want to travel to Mandai estate (between Kranji and Yew Tee) daily, and stay in a hotel in Johor Bahru, it seems thats where the closest hotels are. Does it cost much to cross whats the best way to cross using public transport and whats the best times to cross the bridge and how long does it take to get to Kranji or marsling. Thanks :)
