Bus to checkpoint from Taman Larkin

Hi everyone, I will be moving to JB at Taman Larkin and I do not drive. Does anyone know if I can take a bus along Jalan Tun Abdul Razak opposite Courts Mammoth to go to the checkpoint? I have tried waiting for a bus opposite Courts Mammoth seeing there's a bus shelter on the opposite side, but someone told me the bus stop is further away (which is a long walk when I tried walking the last time!) Is there anyone familiar with this area who can advise? Thanks!
