Hello all, I'm traveling to Johannesburg on business and staying in Holiday Inn Garden Court Milpark Hotel (I have to stay near the hospital) for roughly three weeks. Is there any entartainment places in the area you can reccomend (Cinemas, restaurants, caffes etc)? Is it a safe area? Could you please post some tips for my stay? Thanks!!!
Hi, I would recommend Sandton. It's a nice area and there is one area with several shops and restaurants that are really nice. Another good bar in the area, I'm not real sure where it is, is Vagabonds. It's an Irish pub. There's another town/area called Melville with good night life. The food at Cool Runnings is really good and a great place if you're up for a Jamaican/reggae atmosphere.

you're not far from Auckland Park adn RAU -university. wherever there are students, there is good activity. Braamfontein, Rosebank ar also not far away. Have fun ;-)))

Hi Seetha Tuktuks only operate in a limited area, focused on Sandton, and won't go as far as Montecasino or Bedfordview.... more
Seetha I would use the train or taxi instead if Tuk Tuk. The traffic can be a bit problamatic and Montecasino is a fair... more
