I'm looking for a furnished studio apartment for 1 (preferably with internet access) in Melville or near Wits for a 6 months stay. Can anyone recommend a reliable rental agency or website? Thanks.

Pam Golding and Aida both have been around for a while. I don't know if they do rentals, but you can try. Just stay away from Clockwise Properties. We had serious problems with them and I know of various other people who couldn't get their deposits back etc.

You should actually contact Wits itself and the department you will be working in. There may be academics who like to share or rent out Granny flats. Alternatively, go tohttp://www.440riverglades.co.za/

Hi Seetha Tuktuks only operate in a limited area, focused on Sandton, and won't go as far as Montecasino or Bedfordview.... more
Seetha I would use the train or taxi instead if Tuk Tuk. The traffic can be a bit problamatic and Montecasino is a fair... more
