Hello... I will be moving to jiddah very soon. For foreigner (bachelor), is it better to stay in a villa, apartment or a compound? How much will it costs? Do i get internet connections and cable TV while i am there? And how much would they cost? How much is the cost of living for a day/month? I hope to hear from any of u really soon. i need this info badly.
Hi there, There are some restrictions on bachelors' life in KSA in terms of renting a place. I have not seen bachelors living in a villa or compound. The latter are relatively expensive. A good apartment in Jeddah can be rented at SR30,000 a year- that means8000.ie666 a month. I assume500 should be reasonable price in Jeddah to assume. Internet is free, but we pay telephone charges for the internet- it depends on how u use. Between50 and100 a months would be my estimate. Let me know what else u need to know in Jeddah -

act as a male ! but you'll have to follow the people's way of life. they don't like to be disturbed while they practice the religion. like loud music..... . loud music could ruin your day at the wrong place. don't worry . you'll get used to the rules. in general jeddah is such a wonderful place for the people who know how to enjoy it's taste. and it's so cheap to live in. gas prices. rentals and cars are cheap for two people you can dine with 100 riyals approx 27$ and you get a sea shore view !, you can not imagine how cheap it would be . becareful while driving. the only rule here when you drive is to make your own rule. believe me if you drive in KSA you could drive anywhere else in the world. it's extremely dangerous sometimes. for further info. don't hesitat to contact me. !
