I am scheduled to travel July 13-July 30 to Lebanon.. I will be traveling to all christian areas but staying 20 mins by car from Tripoli. The trip is slightly political in nature. Our group will do interviews and be in the press. The majority of us are Americans of Lebanese descent. Should I consider not going with the US getting involved with the Syrian conflict ? I am concerned being American and being in the press and being prime targets even though I am of part Lebanese descent.

What is the climate for Americans who are traveling in Lebanon right now?

I'm planning on flying down to Beirut pretty soon, from June 14th-23rd. I wasn't especially worried about the safety issue until I read on the Norwegian Embassy site that roads to Beirut Airport were recently closed or can be closed on several occasions.

Am I right to be worried, or is it just a case of keeping up with current events and staying away from the south?

I plane to come to Beirut at 6 till 17 June, but in the light of current situation I need more information about inside Lebanon overview. Could you please give us information how safe is visit Beirut and neighborhood.
Is the situation critical inside the country and the conflict in Syria could quickly escalate into Lebanon? thank you for all answers!

I was planning to attend a conference by the end of May...but the recent rocket hit in Beirut has made me worried...How is the situation there ??? Is it advisable to travel from (May 28 - June 5) 2013 ... My friends keep talking about the unstable situations and war threats etc ... I'm really confused ... please help me out!

I'll be visiting Beirut in June for a couple of days and since Im a great fan of Arabic especially Lebanese artists like Najwa Karam, Julia Boutros, Magida el Roumi and of course the legendary Fairouz I would like to check out if by chance any of them is giving concerts at the time of my stay in Beirut. The problem is that it's difficult to find reliable info in English on venues and events. I checked TimeOut Beirut but it didnt prove very helpful. Anybody knows other source of whats happening in Beirut concert scene?

My boyfriend is from there and wants me to go there to meet his family. I am american and as white as they come. Is it safe for me to go? If I do run into trouble are there places that can help ( like american places) He wants to stay in beruit and go to night clubs and such, is this something i should consider or no?

Marhaba! Would like to travel together with my husband (Lebanese) and my 5 year son to visit my parents-in-law who are living in El-Saouiri (Bekaa Gharbi). Would also love to visit Zahle, I am in love with it!
Could you let me know if I took the right decision to bring also my son, considering those nasty times we are all concerned about in Lebanon?
